How we rank
A strictly-cycling shortlist: every café here is a genuine cyclists' meeting point — featured in reputable cycling-café guides, run by a bike shop or club, or a self-declared cycling café — within ~100 km of the base camp. We rank by reputation (a Bayesian blend of Google rating and review volume), cycling authenticity (workshop, bike parking, rides that depart from the door, kit), editorial pedigree, popularity and distance from the base camp. Generic cafés, however good the coffee, are not listed. Data: OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL) + Google ratings + curated cycling-media guides. Listings are editorially reviewed; sponsored placements, if any, are labelled and never change the order. Full methodology
