CycleTrip minimizes data collection. We don't require accounts for core features, we don't sell your data, and we give you control over cookies. This policy explains what data we do collect and why.

DATA WE COLLECT
Automatically Collected
When you visit CycleTrip, we may collect:
- Technical data: Browser type, device type, operating system, screen resolution
- Usage data: Pages visited, time spent, interactions (anonymized)
- Location data: Country/region from IP address (for flight origin suggestions)
Affiliate Click Tracking
When you click affiliate links, we log:
- The page you clicked from
- The partner and type of link (flight, hotel, etc.)
- A hashed session identifier (not your IP address)
- Timestamp
We do NOT store raw IP addresses or user-agent strings in click logs. Session identifiers are salted hashes that cannot be reversed to identify you. Click logs are automatically deleted after 90 days.
Data You Provide
If you contact us or use future account features, we may collect:
- Email address (for contact/support)
- Trip preferences (if you use the trip builder)
COOKIES
We use cookies and similar technologies. You can control cookie preferences via the banner shown on your first visit.
Required for site functionality: cookie consent preferences, security tokens.
Help us understand how visitors use CycleTrip. Data is aggregated and anonymized.
Used by affiliate partners to track conversions. Required for some booking features.

- Affiliate partners: When you click to book, the partner receives a tracking ID
