Olbia opens onto two kinds of riding: rolling coast roads that trace the bays and headlands toward the Costa Smeralda, and quieter inland lanes winding through the granite outcrops, cork oaks and vineyards of Gallura. Mild winters, an airport and ferry port in town and a long season of dry, empty roads make it a practical landing point for exploring the island.
