Col de la Madeleine is a Hors Catégorie cycling climb in the French Alps, France, cresting at 1 993 m. Its hardest ascent, from La Léchère, covers 25.6 km at 6.1% average, gaining 1 561 m, with ramps up to 14.9%. The steepest kilometre averages 12.9%, around km 17.4. It can also be climbed from Saint-Avre (20.1 km at 7.7%): 2 measured approaches in all, each profiled kilometre-by-kilometre against Copernicus GLO-30 elevation data. On the Fiets scale it rates 10.5, among the region's hardest. Late spring through autumn offers the most reliable conditions on the pass.
